Working with the team at The Voice is an incredible experience. They are full of creativity and are generous in giving us a huge leash and canvas to create great graphics and push the envelope with each performance. I've had the honor of creating graphics for Earth Wind and Fire, Kelly Clarkson, Michael Bublé, John Legend, Reba McIntyre, Nick Jonas, Dan + Shay, Kelsey Ballerini, Jelly Roll, Snoop Dogg, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. Below are a select few of my favorite performances. For all the performances, we break out every light in the 3D scene and deliver multiple compositions with different combinations of light arrangements. Then these arrangements are animated in server by the team on site. Enjoy!
EARTH WIND AND FIRE
When I was asked if I wanted to create graphics for Earth, Wind and Fire, I could not say fast enough. Growing up my parents raised me on Mo-town, Funk and Disco music, so this was quite literally a childhood dream come true. They were set to perform a medley of a few of their best songs, calling for 3 graphics packages in total. But there was a catch, they only had a vague idea of what they wanted. Something typographic, Something mid-century vibe and something from one of their albums. I took some time to look at Their albums and sketch out a few ideas, and then I was off building in C4D and blasting all of their music. Check out the full performance on the right. Another one of my favorite artists currently. It was a blast to get into the Christmas spirit with them and Kelly. Fun fact, the clock in the background started a conspiracy theory in the YouTube comments, about a "hidden message".
